To launch her signature line, our old friend Ruby Hammer has curated an eclectic mix of products, from foot files to make-up brushes – but this is her debut 'make-up' launch.

And these twist-up pencil balms have made their way STRAIGHT into our handbags, because they're so easy to use that you don't even need a mirror. Apply, smoosh lips together, job done. It really is that easy.

There's a shimmery version, Ruby FX (it looks clear, but ads a pearly finish – and can also double as a highlighter). But we're taken with both the tinted pencils: the perfect Ruby Nude, and an even more perfect sheer Ruby Red, which works brilliantly to revive any lipstick you're already wearing. (The sheerness of these means they flatter literally any skintone.

What really pushed our buttons, though, is the lip-caring formulation. These are super-comfy, adding not just that tint, but also plenty of nourishment, from Cannabis Sativa, meadowfoam seed oil, smoothing licorice seed extract and a good serving of cocoa butter.
