Pixi On-The-Glow Bronze

We have a very soft spot for Pixi, the make-up collection created by Swedish-born make-up artist Petra Strand over 20 years ago. In fact we quite often find our feet taking us over the threshold of the flagship Pixi boutique just off London’s Carnaby Street to have a play with these super wearable products.

Soo… we’re now having a lovely time painting our faces with this tinted ‘moisture stick’, which comes in four shades of bronze-y glow: SoftGlow, WarmGlow (Sarah’s fave), plus deeper darker RichGlow and BeachGlow. Twist the base, swoosh it on and smoosh to blend into skin. Et voilà, a gorgeous sun-kissed healthy glow that looks straight from the beach – or more likely the back garden, if you prefer to avoid all the hassle.

A sibling to On-The-Glow-Blush, which launched a couple of years ago, you can use this solid bronzer on bare skin - over SPF please - or on top of foundation: we’ve tried both and because it’s so moisturising it blends perfectly. Fab on cheeks and, they suggest, on lips (though we’re not so convinced) but it’s very pretty on bare shoulders or décolletage.

Although it doesn't pretend to be all-natural, ingredients include moisturising sunflower seed wax and castor oil, vitamin-rich fruit extracts, balancing ginseng and soothing aloe vera.

So there you are! Within seconds, you’re good to glow.
