Penhaligon’s Hair Perfumes, Dry Oils and Hand Creams
A Penhaligon’s store is frankly always a place of joy. Each and every one of them is unique, featuring artefacts and design elements you won’t find elsewhere, all making for a most enjoyable and sense-pleasing space in which to shop for perfume and home fragrance. Oh, we love a little sniffari, in a Penhaligon’s – scent exploration as it should be.
They’ve had a lot going on lately (candle launch, a racy new scent by the name of Sports Car Club, which we also love), but what we’re particularly excited about is new additions to the body care line-up, as well as hair perfumes. It’s not so very long ago that fragrance brands were madly taking a red pen to their bath and body collections, but now the pendulum has swung the other way. Perhaps it’s because these tend to offer a slightly more affordable way to enjoy a favourite scent – or perhaps we’ve finally got the message about ‘layering’, whereby you start with a body product and apply fragrance over the top, whereupon it will last longer as it ‘clings’ to natural oils within the skin.
So, to that newness…
Penhaligon’s Dry Oil/£60 for 100ml. A sinks-in-fast, yet gloriously skin-softening option, powered by argan oil and vitamin E and infused with either of two Penhaligon’s classics, the mysterious leathery Halfeti or Empressa, which blends luscious peach and blood orange with vanilla.
Penhaligon’s Hair Perfume/£40 for 30ml. Again, with a touch of argan oil for sheen, added to the blend to ensure that (unlike some hair spritzes), this won’t dry yours out. For now, this is available in Halfeti and Luna, which blends orange, jasmine, rose and resinous fir balsam.
Penhaligon’s Hand Cream/£24 for 75ml. Ticking ALL our hand cream boxes – rich but not sticky, leaving hands velvety, smelling divine – these can be enjoyed in three fragrances: woody classic Quercus, rosy Luna and even-more-feminine, ‘lipstick-y’ The Favourite, which (aptly) is our favourite.
