Olay Regenerist Glow SPF30 Moisturiser
The key with SPFs is to find something you want to wear all year round. And so long as you don’t have super-dry skin, this certainly ticks that box beautifully.
We’ve shifted our perspective on year-round SPFs. (And no, don’t laugh at us, on the basis of recent weather.) Fact is, it’s easy to pick up incidental sun exposure getting from A to B, PLUS there is the factor of blue light emitted by our devices. The received wisdom is now that it is a wise insurance policy to wear an SPF every single day.
This is a lovely light, gorgeous-to-use moisturiser within Olay’s bestselling Renegerist line-up. It’s suitable for normal, oily and – they tell us – dry skins, but in winter we think you might need to double-moisturise. Certainly, Olay Regenerist Glow SPF30 Moisturiser delivers a delicious, long drink to skin, with no stickiness and no shine – but yes, a bit of a glow, which is probably down to the Niacinamide (vitamin B3) in the formula.
Over time, it promises to even out skintone and tackle pigmentation – but to be honest, we haven’t used it regularly enough to comment on that. What we can say is: it’s a great base for make-up that doesn’t need ages to sink in, before application.
And though we’re rarely swayed by packaging, can we just comment – with tongue in cheek – that the jar is a jolly nice, ‘Beauty Bible pink’…? Cheerful on the bathroom shelf, if you’re bored with clinical white.
