Beauty Bible Loves... Nuori THE ONE
It is a well-kept industry secret that we really don’t need an entire shelf-ful of beauty products. Heretical as it is to say, products multi-task way more than brands let on: hand creams do equally well smoothing feet and bodies, facial moisturisers can work to define the ends of your hair and add a blast of shine, some hair conditioners can at a pinch double as body moisturisers.
Well, here’s a product that’s loud and proud about its multi-tasking powers, from NUORI, a Danish ‘clean beauty’ brand that made it onto our radar when founder Jasmi Bonnen landed in London recently for this launch. (Watch out for Jasmi’s ‘7 Secrets of Beauty & Wellbeing’ on the site, in the coming weeks.)
You don’t need a serum. You don’t need an eye cream. This does the lot, powered by a raft of skin-boosting ingredients: niacinamide, vitamin C, ceramides, peptides, vitamin E, panthenol, bakuchiol and hyaluronic acid, all of which are right at the top of our ingredients wishlist in products. (What it avoids: all 26 known allergenic fragrance ingredients.)
The cream is generously rich, deliciously skin-comforting, ideal for normal to dry and even super-dry skins (like ours), and is dispensed from an airless pump that eliminates the need for chemical preservatives. Everything is blended in small batches, and designed to be ‘used up’ – rather than languishing on the shelf, where any product will slowly lose efficacy. (That’s why we always counsel using products to the end, rather than chopping and changing – and it’s worth bearing in mind that’s one reason why we get such great results from our Beauty Bible testers: because our instructions are to use the product consistently, till it’s all used up.)
We reckon you could also layer it on generously as an overnight mask and – at a pinch, use it as a cleanser in a real emergency (like you went away for a night without one). It’s definitely good – if extravagant – as a hand treatment. We’ve stopped short of using it on our feet, but for hair that we want to be that bit more broken up and ‘piece-y’ (as hairdressers are wont to say)? Nuori, you need to know it works for that, too!
So, looking to simplify your life – and your skincare routine? This really could be ‘the one’.
