L'Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Lipstick

Last week was quite the week for Awards. The night before we launched our own Beauty Bible Awards (see the full line-up here), we attended the beauty world’s ‘insider’ awards event, the product demo at Olympia organised by Cosmetic Executive Women, the UK’s networking group for our industry.

Among many finds (watch this space for more of our favourite discoveries) was this L'Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Lipstick, which we’d been hoping to try for some time. And oh, we’re glad we’ve finally found it.

Super-comfortable on the lips. You honestly can’t feel it’s there, and there’s none of the dryness so often associated with longlasting lipsticks. So: not like a long-lasting lipstick in feel – but in performance, YES. Lasts for ages, at least till you eat something, gliding on beautifully with the doe-foot applicator.

It comes in a decent though not huge shade range. Jo particularly fell for a brick-y red called Parisian Sunset – and that’s when we made our great discovery.

Because if you pick a suitable shade, this also does double-duty as a brilliant, budge-proof cheek stain. Jo used it in a pale-faced emergency and is hugely impressed with the results, having removed the small pot of blusher that she used to carry everywhere and replaced it with one lipstick.
