La Montaña Home Fragrance Discovery Set

Oh, SUCH a clever idea – and the first time we've seen this done. It's pretty fiendish and hit-and-miss, shopping for candles or diffusers or room sprays online – how on earth are we to know what the things smell like...? (You can't even check out testers in shops, now...)

So our friend Cassandra Hall, who created her home fragrance brand to evoke the scents of her adopted home up a mountain in a beautiful region of Spain, came up with this brainwave: a kit which contains a liquid, spritzable-into-the-air (or onto fabric) version of each of the scents you can enjoy in Cass’s range, with 9 x 2.5ml sprays in a little wallet.

They come with blotters, or spritz into the air (like her room mists), so you'll really know whether you want to be whisked to Alfredo's Café, with its notes of brandy, coffee, leather, with a drift of black tobacco and incense wafting through, or perhaps , or aromatic First Light (native mountain flora, like rosemary, rock rose, bergamot and mountain flora), or – our favourite – Sacred Roses, with armfuls of velvety Damask roses, alongside geranium, chamomile and narcissus.
