Beauty Bible Loves... Innersense Harmonic Hair Renew kit
We probably don’t have to tell you that we’re BIG Innersense fans at Beauty Bible Towers. The products appeal to our inner ‘natural beauty’, smell downright amazing (every last one), and never trouble our sometimes-tetchy scalps.
And now, with the Innsersense Harmonic Hair Renew kit, they are targeting the scalp itself – that new ‘buzz’ area of the skin (working on the basis that the scalp really is an extenstion of our faces, and should therefore be on the receiving end of similar TLC).
We have to say that this is specifically designed not only to exfoliate – which all scalps benefit from – but to reduce flaking, which we DON’T actually suffer from, so we can’t hand-on-heart report back on its effectiveness on that front. The formulations, however, do aim to tackle dry scalp, while encouraging ‘a balanced environment for hair to flourish’.
What really pushed our button with this (luxe-priced) three-step kit, though, is the clear quartz crystal scalp massager, to which we have become addicted when using any type of hair product (shampoo, conditioner, never mind the pre-wash treatment and the serum included in this kit). Fact: scalp massage will not only improve circulation, boosting follicular health – but we’re finding this quartz ‘comb’ also works wonderfully to reduce stress.
The two actual formulations themselves, meanwhile, are:
Hair Renew Pre Wash Treatment – dispensed from a nozzle which you move over the scalp after sectioning hair, this offers zinc gluconate and magnesium oil ‘to remove product build-up, balance natural oils and restore a harmonious environment, you’ll also benefit from moisturising hyaluronic acid.
Hair Renew Daily Active Serum – designed to ‘restore peace and harmony to scalps in distress’, you’ll enjoy the soothing actions from maidenfair fern, celery seed and hemp seed oils, together with antioxidant-rich pea sprout extract, chosen ‘to help fortify hair follicles.’ And then there’s that hair comb…
Each product comes with a mantra. To be honest, we’re not sure we’re ever going to stand in front of a mirror reciting, ‘I celebrate myself and welcome new growth’ while applying a hair serum – but we’re assured: chanting is entirely optional.
