Beauty Bible Loves... Fenty Skin Butta Drop Hydrating Body Milk

We have spoken before about ‘shin dandruff’, especially after a holiday. And as Jo’s lucky enough just to have had one of those, it’s a pressing beauty concern, right now.

It always blows us away, just a little bit, to see the difference that a good body treat can make to limbs that have acquired a tan. (NB, in the shade, always, except for a bit of walking around – but it’s amazing how you still tan while lying under a parasol, albeit more slowly. And, BTW, enduringly.)

Fenty Skin Butta Drop Hydrating Body Milk to the rescue of a dry-limb S.O.S. caused by the double-whammy of sunshine, then exposure to slightly-more-ramped-up-than-usual central heating (to avoid a shock to the system).

It’s another beauty hit, from Rihanna and her team. (Fenty, of course, being the super-cool chanteuse’s own brand.) Rich, but sinking in immediately with absolutely no ‘cast’. Skin went from papery-looking to gleaming, in a finger-click, with key ingredients noted as coconut, watermelon seed and rice bran oils, shea, cocoa and mango seed butters, with a hit of acerola fruit extract, plus glycerine. It’s not all-natural, but plenty of naturals up the top of the ingredients list. (This is a lotion version of a body butter, and we’d love to get our hands on that.)

Scent-wise, Fenty say ‘bergamot, jasmine and white orchid’, but we only get a teensy floral whisper, with a touch of fruitiness (something tart and juicy, like passion fruit, rather than sweet).

But it’s the results that have seduced us: dewified, velvety skin, a restored glow – and not a flake of leg dandruff, thus far.
