Chanel LIPSCANNER App

Ooops. There went yesterday, in a blur of having fun with CHANEL’s new LIPSCANNER app. JUST the distraction we needed, while we waited to hear when we might be released from our incarceration and have a LOT more reasons to wear lipstick in our lives.

Lipscanner is honestly, truly the most genius beauty app we’ve ever tried.

Here’s the deal. You see something in a colour you like. A cushion. A corner of a dress in a magazine. The lipstick on a friend’s lips. Through the app, you take a picture and LIPSCANNER’s AI technology analyses it and makes recommendations through the ‘Colour Picking’ algorithm to identify the ‘matching’ lip products in Chanel’s lip wardrobe, in matte, satin, glossy finishes.  

You can then, via the ‘Virtual Try On’ technology, see a completely brilliant image of how you’d look in that lipstick – and you even get the nuances of the finish. (See below for Jo in a deep, cherry gloss! And please note: we didn’t filter the photo, but the app does seem to erase a few unwanted lines…)
