AKT Deodorant Balm

Have you tried a cream deodorant? It might initially seem weird, massaging a product into your underarms – it did to us, to start with – but we’ve grown to enjoy the sensation (you really know you’re covered, with fingers involved), and it dries to a powder finish.

There’s an interesting story behind it: the founders, Andy Coxon and Ed Currie, met while rehearsing for the Carole King musical in the West End, with demanding roles and eight shows a week, they needed something to tackle the sweat and whiff. Unable to find anything that fitted the bill, the duo then spent three years working with formulators and perfumers to come up with AKT, which was then tested on a large number of West End performers, who gave it rave reviews.

All-vegan, 100% plastic-free, fully recyclable, too, thanks to its aluminium tubes… A veritable star-in-the-making.
