Fab Find of the Week: Balance Me Pre and Probiotic Cleansing Milk & Radiance Cream
We are totally in love with this new duo of products from Balance Me, a very special British brand co-founded by sisters Rebecca and Clare Hopkins.
Cleansers are still a bit of a Cinderella category compared to other more exciting skincare products. Thing is, thorough cleansing with a suitable product can actually make a BIG difference to your skin. So it’s a fanfare of beauty trumpets for this fab new Cleansing Milk and its matching Radiance Cream.
They promise a brighter, clearer and calmer complexion – which we can definitely endorse after trying the duo devotedly. Two nights of too little, rather disturbed sleep would usually leave Sarah’s sensitive skin looking dull, drawn and blotchy but – truly rather miraculously – her complexion looked balanced, smooth, plump and actually rosy.
As usual with this natural, cruelty free brand, there’s a bunch of great tried and tested ingredients; soothing oat milk and Manuka honey plus exfoliating salicylic acid and willow bark lead in the Cleansing Milk and deeply moisturising and plumping hyaluronic acid with olive squalane in the Radiance Cream.
But, as you might guess from the product names, the USP is the brand’s signature bio-active pre and probiotic complex. It’s a tricky topic to sum up but the key thing is that, just like your gut, your skin has a microbiome (or population) of good and not so good flora, aka bacteria. To keep skin healthy and looking balanced, calm and radiant, you need to support the good flora with pre- and probiotics. Which is exactly what happens with these products.
