Baie Botanique Rose Renew Regenerating Face Wash

Perhaps unsurprisingly, sales of face washes have skyrocketed since the start of lockdown. We all just want to feel clean, don’t we…? And there’s nothing like a face wash, for that feeling of freshness and to get rid of – well, whatever we picked up on our skins while ‘out there in the big wide world’…

Drier complexions and face washes, however, don’t always get on. So we often give them a wide berth, being prone to dry skin ourselves. Still, when this face wash landed from Baie Botanique, we decided to take it for a spin – a) because their enzyme-powered cleansing scooped Beauty Bible Silver and Best Natural Awards in that category, for 2020, and b) well, it’s that smell of roses, again… Gets us every time.

And we’re impressed. Impressed enough now to be using this regularly as part of a double-cleanse (and happily using it on its own when we feel particularly in need of freshening). The gel formula foams lightly, swooshes away beautifully actually doesn’t leave skin feeling tight AT ALL, rather comfy and soft and plump. And CLEAN! (Wouldn’t use it on eyes – but then we do always use a dedicated cleanser, for those.)

Baie Botanique, founded by Sophie Oliver (who has over 20 years of experience in beauty as a make-up artist, and lives a plant-based lifestyle), features rose and rosehip at the heart of every formulation – ‘the Queen of Flowers’, as it’s often known, and one which pushes all our sensorial buttons.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything we’ve tried, so far – but definitely feel this is a cleanser for our times…
