Beauty Bible Christmas Gift Guide 2024: Blow the budget!
Sensational splurges for super-special people, these. We know they’re all pricy, but they’re what we’d choose for ourselves if limitless funds allowed. (Though with Black Friday – which we reluctantly admit has its place – you’ll find quite a few of these less expensively online than the retail prices we’ve quoted.)
You can’t go wrong with a bar of soap – such a simple pleasure. And you definitely can’t go wrong with this gift set from the iconic Portugese soap-makers, Claus Porto. The vintage-style wrappers along make us long for this set, never mind the scents – which span florals to woody scents via their Chypre bar. It’s basically a lifetime’s supply for even the most hygienic of recipients – but we love to tuck soap between woollies and undies, to fragrance them, while we wait to press them into sudsing service.

Olverum Night and Day Collection
We’ve always loved the mind-soothing aroma of Olverum products, many of which have scooped Beauty Bible Awards over the years (so we know that readers feel the same way). In this Experience the restorative magic of Olverum with a luxurious collection that calms the mind, soothes the senses and leaves your hands soft and hydrated so you feel pampered night and day. In this collection, find Bath Oil (60ml), Restful Sleep Pillow Mist (50ml), Purifying Hand Wash and Soothing Hand Lotion (250ml each). Pretty much a spa-in-a-box, then.

Wildsmith Hand and Body Duo Kit
We’ve been coveting this set for ourselves for some time, and you know what? 2024 might just be the year that we splash out. We completely adore the scent of these products – think: linden, cedarwood, chamomile – and the properly effective hand-softening ingredients, which include cocoa and shea butters, sweet almond and coconut oils, plus rose extract. So, so skin-smoothing – and no matter how compulsively you wash your hands, the 300ml pumps will last aeons.

Willaim Morris at Home The True Secret of Happiness Box
Well… who wouldn’t want to be given ‘The true secret of happiness…?’ (It’s from a William Morris quote, BTW.) The box is a keepsake treasure, first off, with lots of smaller boxes adorned with Morris prints that cleverly jigsaw together, and could be refilled again and again. And the line-up of fragrant treats inside is glorious, worth over £90 – all full sizes, including (deep breath!): Beautiful Sleep™ Pillow Mist, Body Oil and Magnesium Body Cream, Patchouli & Red Berry Hand Cream, Clementine & Clove Scented Candle and the Hair Mist, plus Forest Bathing Body & Space Mist, Hair Mist and Body Wash. (Couldn’t resist posting two pics, here, because the mere line-up above doesn’t quite do it justice.) It’s also on sale at Liberty – the spiritual home of William Morris, of course.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Charlotte’s Iconic Magic Skin Duo
We’re slightly overwhelmed by the number of Christmas gifts our friend Charlotte has on offer this year – Pillow this, Pillow that, Pillow the other... All of it’s MARVELLOUS, DARLINGS (genuinely) – but often overshadowed by the glam make-up in her range is the skincare, so we’d point you in the direction of this pair, above, with her Magic Cream (it really is special), to layer over brightening Magic Serum, which is infused by a plumping complex and boosts radiance big-time, via particles of crystals (ruby, rose quartz, crystal, amethyst and moonstone). The list price offers a saving of £32, too.

CHANEL Le Rouge 31 coffret
We rather doubt that any of our readers is going to splurge £1,035 for a personalised line-up of 12 x Le Rouge 31 lipsticks, in a beautiful display box – but what is beauty, if not dreams…? (NB This isn’t even available online, so you’d need to pay an #IRL visit to Harrods to find it.)
However, you would still be considered extremely generous for gifting a single, perfect shade of Le Rouge 31 TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE VERY MUCH. If it helps, we’re huge fans of these highly-pigmented but seriously comfortable lipsticks, having reviewed the Matte version here, and the original satin-finish option here. One key reason we love Le Rouge 31, aside from the sheer beauty of the lipstick case, is that it’s refillable (those 12 shades above are refills, to switch in and out depending on your mood – and glamour requirements).

Estée Lauder Blockbuster Gift Set
Something a little different, because this is a gift with purchase – but it’s a beauty (worth an absolutely stonking £405!). So, working on the basis that you may well have Estée Lauder skincare or make-up that you’d like or need to replenish, here’s the deal: you spend £50 on the site, and can then add this – in its gorgeous velvet bag – to the cart. (You can’t use other gifts to reach the £50 total, NB, but otherwise it’s a sensational offer.)
