Faith in Nature have been offering super-affordable natural beauty products for – well, as long as we've been shopping in natural food stores (and that is a very long time indeed). But in the past few years they've really made a shift into the mainstream, as more and more people discover Faith in Nature's genuinely effective, naturally gentle, cruelty-free, Vegan Society-approved and really VERY affordable haircare, bodycare and soaps. (Oh, and did you know they make laundry liquids, too?)

Faith in Nature don't launch products willy-nilly, but their most recent innovation really caught our eye – or to be more accurate, our nose: the Blue Cedar range, which blends the woody, pencil-y scent of blue cedar with Swedish mountain herbs. So: aromatic – and very grounding, we're finding. In the range, you'll find SLS-free Body Wash and Shampoo, together with a just-over-two-quid Soap. (Really can't argue with that price.)

Faith in Nature were real pioneers of refilling (we are talking decades here), but they just upped their game still further with the Faith in Nature Refill-A-Bottle/£4.99. This zero-waste, 100% refill bottle is made of aluminium, to be topped up from any of the 2.5 or five-litre products. (Not yet Blue Cedar, but we've a feeling that won't be long.) They reckon it could save 12 plastic bottles a year (not to mention all those pumps, etc.)

Their growing popularity, by the way, is probably not unconnected with upping their packaging game. They make going green look good. But also – and this really matters to us – they make it smell good, too.
