But there’s one scent destination that definitely needs to be on your radar, and that’s Space NK’s Fragrance Library pop-up, running from tomorrow at The Vinyl Factory in London’s Soho. Last night, Jo had the honour of hosting a Space NK dinner for journalists and truly amazing perfume brand founders, most of whom had flown in specially for this event, including Kilian, Phlur, Dedcool, DS&Durga, Ellis Brooklyn and VYRAO. It really marked the moment that this treasured retailer becomes a serious destination for fragrance, taking it to the next scented level as a place to explore exciting brands and scented newness. Our latest beauty steal is @rimmellondon Oh My Gloss! Butter Me Up ❤️ Oh, but there is a flurry of truly great lip products launching right now. Actually, standing at the Superdrug counter yesterday, shopping for cotton pads and having a mooch, it was almost overwhelming, wondering where to start. Except we had the advantage of having tried this brilliant glossy balm at the CEW Product Demo evening last week (and this will not be the last ‘find’ we share with you from that evening of dipping, dabbing and trialling). On the strength of that brief encounter, we sought it out – and we need to share it with you now. This really does have a delicious, balm-y texture that is delivering relief to lips that have really and truly suffered, this enduringly cold winter. It’s glossy without being sticky, and we love the angled applicator – a dot squeezed from the tube is all you need to cover lips with a sheer veil of glossy, super-comfy colour. Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: @nyxcosmetics Wonder Pencil Highlighter 💕 Do you ever somehow fall out of a beauty habit? The other morning, browsing in Boots on Oxford Street before a press breakfast, Jo spotted a double-ended highlighter pencil that reminded her: one of her best-ever beauty tricks was to add a line of highlight above the lip-line. It creates a more defined contour, but also the optical illusion of fuller lips. Somehow, at some (busy) point, she’d stopped doing it. But there was the perfect pencil, to resume the habit. With one end matte, one end shimmery, it is also good for adding a ‘lift’ just under the brow-bone. Even better? Times have moved on, and so have beauty brands, when it comes to offering a spectrum for all skintones. Pollen is the arch villain, in tandem with other airborne allergens like fungal spores – the fungi equivalent of seeds in plants – which also comes from mould in any form.
