Although a magnifying mirror helps you see where you're plucking bows, it's not good for a preview of the overall effect - and it's easy to get carried away and overdo things.  Ideally, use a magnifying mirror with a normal mirror on the back, and flip backwards and forwards to gauge how your brows really look.
