And how many times have we been disappointed…? All that is behind us, with the debut of O.P.I. RapidDry nail polish, the first truly to deliver on its quick-drying pledge, in our experience. Somewhat cynically, Jo first applied one coat – and it was dry within a few seconds. Cagily, a day later, she applied a second coat – and a glossy top coat soon, after – and again, completely rock solid in a couple of blinks of an eye. This is actually a little bit life-changing: something you can whizz onto your nails to make them look shiny and groomed right before you head out the door. 🌟 Fab Find of the Week: @granado Exuberance Hand Cream Trio 🥰 Having a little sniff around Covent Garden – a lovely thing to do, on a sunny afternoon – we visited for the first time the new Granado boutique on (aptly enough) Floral Street. What a treat for the senses. If you don’t know them, Granado is a Brazilian brand which landed in the UK around three years ago, and has really made a colourful, fragrant splash in the world of fragrance and bodycare. There are now a couple of other Granado boutiques – at Ham Yard Hotel, and on Chelsea’s King’s Road – and they all offer the same immersive sensorial experience, alive with colour and scent. The products are good value – but we are especially taken right now with this Granado Exuberance Hand Cream Trio, featuring a really decent 50g (handbag-worthy) size of their luscious yet not greasy hand creams, in three different and exotic scents. I’m wearing a fragrance on which I get complimented, repeatedly, every time I wear it out. ‘Oooh, you smell great!’ ‘What perfume are you wearing?’ ‘Wow, what an amazing smell!’ And yet, I can barely smell it on my own skin. I love Hermès Barénia at first spritz, enjoying its cool, mossy, almost a metallic, cold edge. I like it as it warms up, too, becoming soft, buttery, supple and suede-like, with just a hint of fruitiness – boozy fruits, like raisins soaking in alcohol, waiting to be churned into the most delicious ice cream. Our latest beauty steal is @rimmellondon Oh My Gloss! Butter Me Up ❤️ Oh, but there is a flurry of truly great lip products launching right now. Actually, standing at the Superdrug counter yesterday, shopping for cotton pads and having a mooch, it was almost overwhelming, wondering where to start. Except we had the advantage of having tried this brilliant glossy balm at the CEW Product Demo evening last week (and this will not be the last ‘find’ we share with you from that evening of dipping, dabbing and trialling). On the strength of that brief encounter, we sought it out – and we need to share it with you now. This really does have a delicious, balm-y texture that is delivering relief to lips that have really and truly suffered, this enduringly cold winter. It’s glossy without being sticky, and we love the angled applicator – a dot squeezed from the tube is all you need to cover lips with a sheer veil of glossy, super-comfy colour.
