The Soil Association invites you to celebrate Organic Beauty Week...
Break open the organic prosecco! Because from today (19th September) to 25th is The Soil Association's Organic Beauty Week. A key focus is the launch of the new Look for the Logo campaign – to press home the campaign for transparency in beauty. Unlike food, there's no legal requirement to put an organic logo on packaging – and quite a bit of greenwashing that goes on, either because beauty companies think it's too much faff, or deliberate greenwashing. Either way, we know you'll probably echo our belief that there should be truth and honesty in beauty marketing.
Read more about the Look for the Logo campaign here.
It's not all serious stuff, though. Up and down the country, The Soil Association has organised a series of events for Organic Beauty Week: organic facials are on offer, panel discussions, there's the chance to meet the week's 'face', superblogger Niomi Smart, at Wholefoods Market on Wednesday 21st – and more. (You can book for that here.)
The Events page is a bit fiendish to navigate, though: when you click on an event, you have to scroll back up again to read about it. (Took us a wee while to figure that out.) The beauty events are also mixed up with the food events (and you have to scroll past the events that have already happened...)
But hey, their big green heart's in the right place...
