We'll start with Baume de Rose Hand Cream, which ticks our hand-care boxes: soothing, not greasy at all (it passes the 'bathroom door test', absorbing quickly so that you're not stuck in the loo waiting for your hands to stop slipping on the doorknob). There are pearlised powders in there, too, which work to create a little optical illusion of youthfulness.

The Baume de Rose Body Cream is truly silky yet lightweight – deceptively rich, we'd call it. Again, it's got that additive scent – and a texture to match, which is deeply replenishing even to the driest skin. (Um, that's us, then.)

We aren't exaggerating when we say that when you slather on these treats (which are birthday-present-wishlist-priced, perhaps), they truly lift the spirits in the way that the very best beauty products sometimes can.
