Sarah loves… a perfect lippy, make-summer-last-longer blusher/bronzer, chic nail polish, wedding body cream and a brace of magic concealers...
Chantecaille Lip Chic, in Isis
I know thirty quid is a lot for a lippy - but this offering from the Fall Collection is the most wonderful colour, with fantastic soft sheer texture that also somehow manages to be deeply pigmented. It claims ‘the even coverage of a lipstick with the high shine and plumping effects of a gloss’. Isis is a subtle warm bronze, with a slight shimmer - and looks wonderful with a hint of post-summer colour. If you’re a paler type, try soft pink Amour, or one of the other 17 shades. Oh - and while you are at it, there’s also Fig Luminous Gloss, which promises up to six hours of lasting wear. I command you: go spoil yourself, please!

The German natural skincare brand, which has done so well in our previous Green Beauty Bible awards, has just launched its new, ‘optimised’ line of natural colour cosmetics, stuffed with good things (both plants and a precious stone mixture which is an alluring thought). I particularly like this blush - actually more of a bronzer effect - which had members of my art class demanding to know the secret of my glowing skin. I whisk the paler Beige powder very lightly over my tinted BB crème (the Estée Lauder version, genius!), then stroke a bit of the darker Terracotta on cheek bones.

Nails Inc Polish, in Porchester Square
I’m not normally known as ‘fashion forward’ so when this chic muted mushroom shade (let’s just say ‘taupe’) proved not only to go with everything I wear, but also to suit my skin tone, I was slightly taken aback. What’s more, it lasts pretty well and if it does chip, it doesn’t show that much (before you rehab it) - unlike scarlet, my hitherto favourite, which is looks gorgeous when first done but seldom survives horses and gardening (and general clumsiness…).

The lovely sisters Rebecca and Clare Hopkins - who started this fantastic natural brand - sent me this 99 per cent natural, award-winning product for my recent wedding, together with its matching body wash. It is just bliss, smells heavenly, goes on a treat, is just as ‘ultra soothing and hydrating’ as it says on the tin (tube, actually) and lasts practically as long as I hope my marriage will. (Ummm, bit of an exaggeration there but you get the drift…) Wonderfully good value if you are the one buying it.

I was going to just mention Perfect Fix Concealer, but then I thought I can’t short-change you and not mention Light Reflecting Concealer, both from the completely (predictably) fabulous collection of make-up-for-every-woman-to-wear-everyday by our dear long-time friend and colleague (who admits to having driven everyone involved in this project mad with her perfectionism). I use Perfect Fix02, a stick, on a stubborn mole by my nose, and on any other little blemishes, then brighten my eye area with Light Reflecting Concealer, a wind-up pump dispenser wand with its own paint-brush, also in 02.
