Nothing gets to be a beauty classic by accident, as we know. For a product to endure, it’s gotta look good, perform well – and steal our hearts, just a little.

So we love Sali Hughes’s Pretty Iconic book – a fantabulous round-up of classic beauty products, many of which we hold close to our own hearts. It’s just launching in paperback – and cleverly, Sali and the publishers at Ampersand books have put together a beauty box showcasing many of the products in the book, to bring its pages alive. (We did that with our Anti-Ageing Bible. Maybe we’ll do it again, some day.)

You’ll find treats from REN, Elizabeth Arden (Eight Hour Cream, of course!), NARS, Benefit, Alpha H, John Frieda, St. Tropez, Sisley, Lanolips, La Roche-Posay, Skyn Iceland, Vichy… All beautifully boxed up and a fab introduction to products which may not already be staples in your own beauty regimes.

The value’s over £250 – so although this is a pretty hefty beauty investment at £85, we’d say that’s a pretty good deal.
