Roger&Gallet Aura Mirabilis Legendary Balm

Sometimes you just want to envelop your skin in a giant hug. This does precisely that.

It's TLC in a jar – a cream that 'recalls the days of the Roman empire and one of the oldest official skincare ointments first recorded,' this French name tells us.

They also describe Legendary Balm as a 'healing balm' – and certainly, it's packed with nourishing ingredients, including beeswax and almond oil to help restore/maintain skin's vital barrier function. We think it'd be a great go-to product if skin is playing up for any reason, or is dehydrated after a holiday.

Beyond that, it's deliciously rich and feels somehow totally 'cocooning' on the skin, with a subtle and soothing scent. Other key botanicals include shea and mango seed butters as well as jojoba and avocado oils, and Legendary Balm is rich in vitamins A, C and E. (It's not totally natural – but squinting through our magnifying glass, those naturals feature highest on the ingredients list.)

One of the most heavenly-textured products we've tried in a long, long time. A hug in a jar? Absolutely.
