Pink, pink, pink suede shoes!

It's a first:  in all our beauty editing days, we've never known a new lipstick launch to be commemorated by a matching range of shoes. But to mark the unveiling of Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick (more of which in a mo), Sophia Webster - a protégée of Nicholas Kirkwood, no less - has been commissioned to create this stunning range of vertiginous, lip-inspired heels.  (Viewed from the side, some of the heels are even lipstick-shaped!)  She apparently 'channeled' the Revlon brand to come up with a collection that is lipsmackingly gorgeous - albeit very luxe-priced.  (But then these are completely unique...)

Somewhat more accessible is the Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick itself, with its very clever texture.  In seven shades, it really is velvety and matte, like suede - yet it features the patented ColorStay technology which really makes the colour cling limpet-style to lips.  (The suede effect disappears after a while, but if you've naturally pale lips, these are a godsend - because the shades really do last for hours and hours, unless you eat an oily salad or use a specific remover.)

To us, this is what beauty's all about.  We'd love a new pair of shoes every week, but we can dream on. Yet a lipstick...?

Wonderfully accessible.

Almost as glam.
