In general, our favourite eye products are topped by metal dispensers or rollerballs. This isn’t, but weirdly (and we know not how), when you glide it over your skin it FEELS as good as a metal rollerball smoothing away tension and puffiness, yet it’s made of ceramic.

The actual tip of the product is angled, for ease of application – a bit like some lip balms – but it’s the product itself which enhances the super-cooling and soothing action, infused with schisandra (an anti-inflammatory, from the teeny red magnolia berry), together with a ceramide complex. Vegan, Leaping Bunny-certified, it’s also COSMOS-certified as 83.6% organic and 99% natural.

Pai (who we’ve known from when they were just a twinkle in founder Sarah Brown’s own eyes) call Pai System D a ‘Power Nap for Tired Eyes’ and we’re thinking about getting a second tube, actually – one for the bathroom, one for the desk. Come 4 p.m. when spirits are flagging and eyes are growing tired from staring at a screen, this baby comes into its own. It is just incredibly soothing, genuinely taking the tension down a notch as we pause to apply (works fine over make-up, NB).
