ORLY Breathable Nail Varnish

Manicurists and pedicurists often tell us to leave off polish and give nails a 'rest'. To be honest, there are two reasons we tend not to do this – one being that (in Jo's case), unprotected nails tend to flake and peel. Secondly, it's an aesthetic thing: we really, really like looking at shiny, varnished colourful nails.

So this is a great compromise: a 'breathable' polish from a leading nail name. How's it breathable? Well, it offers something called 'Advanced Oxygen Technology', which is designed to let nails – um, breathe.

What else it has going for it is sheer ease: this is a treatment (infused with argan, vitamin C and pro-vitamin B5), and an all-in-one base coat, top coat and colour, in one application. (In fact, if you were to apply a separate top and base coat, you'd be defeating the object.)

Lots of fab shades, from neutral nudes and putties (that's Sarah) to denim blues and hot pinks and showstopping reds (that's more Jo, who's currently sporting the almost fluoro 'Pep In Your Step').
