Nudestix Intense Matte Lip and Cheek Pencil
We love the ease-of-use of a lip crayon. The challenge, though, is that with sheer and glossy formulations, many of them don’t have much staying power. This, however, takes ‘long-lasting lip’ to a new level. Demo-ed on Jo and Amy at a recent SpaceNK spring beautyfest press event, this creamy pencil goes on smoothly – and really, really stays put unless you’re eating something greasy. (Five Guys, anyone...?) The ‘Nudestix’ name is a touch deceptive – because while Amy went for a beautiful rosy-nude called Bella (much more flattering than a beige-nude, NB), Jo opted for the seriously siren-esque, deep blue-red Stiletto. (It sent a couple of fellow beauty editors – who aren’t used to seeing Jo in strong lipcolour – into a slight shock, but they had to admit to liking it, after a moment or two’s consideration.) In all, there are five nude-y shades, and three berry tones.
Although quite matte, Nudestix Lip Crayon is comfortable and doesn’t feel tight or dry on the lips. And as a bonus, a little dab on the cheeks, blended into foundation, wakes the face up in a flash.
Mwah, mwah!
