Lani skincare
Lani means ‘heavenly’ in Hawaiian – and this really couldn’t be more aptly-named for a beauty range.
The packaging had us at ‘helllo’ – beautiful, bold (and highly Instagrammable) colours.
The luscious tropical oils in this range are good for hair, skin – and boy, do they lift the spirits. Think: camellia, jasmine, ylang ylang, baobab, coconut, kukui. (And the eye candy, #Insta-worthy packaging is pretty cheering, too – quite different from most ‘clean’ beauty ranges.)
FYI, this is a natural beauty start-up from Viola Radomsky, who describes herself as ‘a passionate cruelty-free lifestyle advocate’.
Of the Lani treats we’ve tried so far, these have most impressed…
Lani Tropical Super Serum/£19.99 for 30ml. Not so much a serum, more a lush facial oil, nourishing with prickly pear seed, jojoba, passionfruit and a new-to-us ingredient called ‘cacay seed’. Gorgeous jasmine scent – that’s what’s hooked us, with Lani.
Tropical Coconut Facial Polish/£17.99 for 34g. A gentle skin-buffer featuring vitamin C, coconut milk powder, coconut water and rice powder. Use every few days for brightness, we suggest.
Tropical Body Oil/£15.99 for 100ml. This is the body incarnation of the hair oil on which Lani built their reputation, combiing luscious oils of moringa, baobab, sweet almond and camellia oils, so headily laced with ylang ylang that it’s like a flight to the tropics, in a bottle. We like to apply this to damp skin (not something we often do with any oil or moisturiser, but it smooths in just so beautifully, if you do).
A range that has us dreaming of a trip to a faraway hotspot – knowing that we’ll be perfectly bare-able, when we get there.
