Le Métier de Beauté Peau Vierge Anti-Ageing Skin Complex

‘Virgin skin’. That’s quite some promise. Does this sort-of-primer from the exclusive-to-Space-NK range Le Métier de Beauté deliver? To live up to that claim with our skins (non-spring chickens that we are) would be a miracle right up there with the Virgin birth, but we’re nevertheless impressed. We’re not 100% sure how to categorise this product. Almost weightless, it’s not a tinted moisturiser. It’s not a foundation. However, it definitely evens out skintone and the ‘finish’ of the skin so it looks much more perfect. (It also comes in four shades, starting with 0 which is a pale alabaster.)

They recommend applying with a brush as if you were using foundation – which definitely gives a stunning, flawless finish. (Will you need base over the top? A lot depends on how good your skin actually is; it definitely ‘blurs’, but doesn’t cover.)

It’s said to ‘smooth, tighten and help improve skin’s overall appearance’ with visible results in seven days. Admittedly we haven’t used it consistently enough to report on that, but the short-term benefits of what is admittedly a luxe-priced product are pretty much a ‘wow’.
