Kate Somerville Dry Skin Saver
Sheesh. Is it us, or has it suddenly turned Sahara-dry indoors? This always happens, of course, a few weeks into the central heating season (and there have been some VERY chilly nights).
We thank our lucky stars to be living in an age of central heating - but we’re really not so keen on the effect is has on our complexion. Enter this little flip-top beauty, from a ‘cult’ US skincare name, which is a highly powerful skin-quencher that isn’t greasy at all yet helps to repair skin’s own barrier, preventing further moisture loss.
While not ‘natural’, Kate Somerville Dry Skin Saver does have some effective botanicals in there - oat kernel flour, wakame (Japanese kelp) and blackcurrant seed oil, all serving to soothe skin and shield from drying winds and heat.
What we really like about it, though, is that it does triple duty – lips, face and body - so you can slip one product in your handbag/kit bag. Since we’re laden with laptops, Bags for Life of food and our usual stack of books and mags, anything that lightens the load is a winner.
Especially when it helps turn our skin from crêpe paper to touch-me-soft, super-fast.
