Jane Scrivner Circadian Vit C Encapsulated Optimised Overnight Repair

Jane Scrivner, whose skincare did ever so well in our Beauty Bible Awards 2020, doesn’t launch newness every day. We happen to know that her skincare has a long gestation, as Jane’s a bit of a perfectionist (and that’s what we want in any beauty line, actually).

Featuring vitamins B, E and antioxidant, encapsulated vitamin C (to preserve its skin-brightening power), this new addition to her line-up also features oils of jojoba, argan, apricot kernel and shea butter, together with rice bran water, Kakadu plum and a plant extract of Myrothamnus flabellifolius (which is known as the ‘resurrection’ plant for the speed with which apparently dead leaves revive once the rains come). The idea is to harness and even boost skin’s own circadian rhythms, and its overnight regenerative power.

This sort-of-a-serum-sort-of-a-cream is medium-rich, delivered via a pleasing pump action bottle and smooths into skin. There’s an interesting reaction with Circadian, which it took a couple of nights to get used to. It goes a little ‘sticky’ – just for a brief while – and then dries down. According to Jane, ‘Sticky indicates the vitamin cocktail is fully released.’ And once we’d realised that was actually normal, we really began to enjoy using this.

And we definitely enjoyed how it makes skin appear, from the first morning-after-the-Circadian-powered-night-before. Brighter, radiant, luminous and looking like it got more restful sleep than we seem to be managing, at the mo.

Zzzzzzs for your skin, all in all.
