What’s more, Harvey Nicks is also offering a service we are asked about time and again: an exclusive Custom Blended Lipstick Concierge on the third floor. Take in your favourite discontinued shade, your new frock or the scarf that really ‘does things’ for your skin tone and eyes – et voilá! A bespoke shade of lippy will be yours. The minimum order is two lipsticks, priced at £40.

There’s a raft of other clever things that form part of this special month-long event, called A Beautiful Mind because that’s what they hope you will have with all this intelligent help. Because bespoke is the way ahead, they say, cosmetics brand Eyeko is offering the world’s first personalised mascara service, specially created for you on counter for a rather reasonable £28.
