Guerlain Ma Petite Robe Noire (Special Edition)

We don't often feature fragrance on Beauty Bible Loves 'cos that's Jo's bag, on www.thescentcritic.com. But we want to tell you about this gorgeous little trio of options for La Petite Robe Noire, the flirtily pretty new Guerlain fragrance:  a fruity/floral which delivers delicious wafts of red fruits, licorice, smoked black tea, tonka bean, vanilla, iris and patchouli.  One sniff and you know it's a Guerlain, but it would be a fantastic 'starter scent' for a young friend who's new to the brand.  (Having said that, we're enjoying snuggling up to it ourselves.)

Created by in-house perfumer Thierry Wasser, it's inspired by that essential wardrobe basic, 'the little black dress'.  And for a brief time starting this weekend at Harrods, you can choose which of three little black dresses you'd like decorating your signature Guerlain flacon - options below.  And (on specific dates) have it calligraphed with your name or initials, in a partnership with renowned scribe Paul Antonio.  A lovely idea.

FYI the dates are:  Friday 21st (4 - 8 p.m.), Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd (2.30 - 6.30 p.m.), Friday 28th (4 - 8 p.m.) and Saturday 29th (2.30 - 6.30 p.m. again).  Worth planning a shopping expedition around, if you love this scent.

And if you can't get there...?  It's not on-line yet, so enjoy the adorable La Petite Robe Noire animation on YouTube - click here - which just makes us long for smell-o-vision...  And it also has a cute Facebook page, if you click here.
