Treatments We Love: Mesotox Treatment with Vaishaly at The Vaishaly Clinic

Model shot (not Sarah!)

If your face and neck need an instant (really, truly, immediate) boost to radiance, plumpness and smoothness, please consider booking in for facialist Vaishaly Patel’s new Mesotox treatment, dubbed ‘The Porcelain Facial’.

Five minutes’ walk south from Baker Street, Vaishaly’s clinic is a stone’s throw from the shopping mecca of Marylebone Lane (more boutiques than we’ve had cappuccinos).

We’ve known and trusted Vaishaly for more years than any of us care to count so we always expect the best from her but this really exceeded expectations when Sarah tried it on 12th June. ‘How long will it take to show an effect?,’ she asked. ‘I can see it happening in front of my eyes,’ replied Vaishaly, ‘and it will just get better as the days go by.’ And so it was, well – is!

Plumpness, glow and clarity – guess that’s the ‘porcelain’ reference - were the first noticeable results after the totally painless 30-minute treatment, where teeny tiny needles are ‘napped’ on to the surface of the skin on face and neck. They deposit a cocktail of complexion enhancers, with our favourite hyaluronic acid and other goodies that Vaishaly mixes to suit each client’s skin, plus – and here’s the USP – a minute amount of Botox. She works all over the face and neck, going over and over particular areas that need help.

Now, we would never normally sign up for Botox or other fillers that are injected into the muscle. But, as Vaishaly says, this superficial method ‘has a dramatic tightening effect on the skin’, which softens fine lines to the point that Sarah’s were hardly visible without a magnifying glass (her reading specs, actually). ‘Like most people my age, I have fine but visible little lines above and under my mouth, plus a few around my eyes. The effect of the Mesotox facial was, well, not jaw dropping but rather jaw lifting. I could just see the little lines if I looked hard in a bright light, but they were so much softer and almost blurred out.’

The Botox also tightens open pores, which has a knock on effect on oily and congested skin – so no more breakouts, Vaishaly promises. We can’t testify to this as breakouts aren’t our problem but skin definitely looks better toned and more ‘refined’, in beauty speak.

Sarah’s writing this on Day Three and, yes, the benefits continue – and will last for several months, Vaishaly promises. Ideally, you would have two treatments a fortnight apart then every three to four months. Yes, it’s a real investment at £395 per treatment but her clients are fast becoming ‘addicts’ of Mesotox, Vaishaly says.

We’re not surprised – Sarah would certainly raid her piggy bank…
