Fab Find of the Week: Super Facialist Overnight Resync Night Creams

A lot of very pricy creams have been landing on our desks lately. It’s a thing. We try them, if we’re feeling so disposed. Sometimes, we’re impressed. But we cannot, in all conscience, point our readers in the direction of creams that cost £300+, and on which people on a typical budget would virtually have to take out a mortgage – especially when there are great ranges like this around.

We’re longstanding fans of Super Facialist, and they’ve scooped some Beauty Bible Awards over the years. But these night creams are the result of three years’ research, and a lot of testing: a quartet of creams with something for every skin type – even sensitive – and designed to work in sync with skin’s natural circadian rhythm. (In other words, harnessing the power of beauty sleep.) Specific ingredients work to combat skin fatigue, and to fight the damage caused by daily aggressors (sunlight, pollution, blue light).

We were also impressed that Super Facialist recruited as their spokeswoman for the range one of our all-time favourite superfacialists – Charlotte Connoley – who has an A-list clientele, but also happens to offer her amazing gravity-defying treatments at a salon near Jo, in Hastings. (See below.)

So… what are the creams? They all have wonderful textures, are a joy to apply – but to steer you to the right choice. (NB Slightly confusingly, the prices are all different.)

Super Glow Vitamin C Overnight Resync Night Cream/£17 for 50ml. Your choice if you’ve pigmentation or dullness (but actually suitable for all skin types), featuring vitamin C, shea butter, licorice – and that trademarked Resync SleepSmart Complex, which is a signature across the whole range.

Restore & Renew Retinol Overnight Resync Night Cream/£20 for 50ml. Targeting lines and wrinkles, in particular, and featuring retinol – so you need to build up use gradually, starting with two to three times a week, and ‘listen to your skin.’ (We don’t get on with retinols, although we know women who swear by them.) Lupin seed extract features alongside the retinol, and that special ‘sleep’ complex.

Hydrate Rosehip Overnight Resync Night Cream/£16 for 50ml. Our favourite, actually – really luscious, combining rosehip, soothing allantoin, shea butter and the Resync SleepSmart Complex. Dry and sensitive skins are plumped by morning, soft – and radiant, for sure.

Firm + Lift Vegan Collagen Overnight Resync Night Cream/£22 for 50ml. Featuring plant-based collagen, copper and a marine-based biopolymer, again harnessing that trademarked complex of ingredients to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and allow any skin type to wake up looking more rested.

So, honestly, why pay more? (And actually, if we COULD afford ultra-expensive creams without blinking, we’d rather spend it on family, staycations, the garden, good times with friends – oh, and maybe some nice bedlinen – another key to beauty sleep, in our book.)
