Fab Find of The Week: The Organic Pharmacy Eco Refillable Rose Diamond Collection

There’s been such a shift in skincare, in recent years, turning us all into our own skincare experts. Yes, there’s a lot to be said for assessing your own complexion on a regular basis – but there is also much to be said for following a proper regime, with products formulated by experts to work in synergy.

But even more importantly for us, regime like this – cleanser, moisturiser, eye cream – offers one more benefit: that of turning it into a ritual. When we enjoy using beauty products, we tend to do it diligently and generously, taking our time – and by massaging for longer, for instance, enjoy all the radiance-boosting skin benefits that come with that.

And honestly, rituals don’t get much more pleasurable than The Organic Pharmacy’s trio: dreamily rich and creamy, lightly rose-scented and so comforting on skin that you can almost hear it sighing with relief. Since Jo has been using it, she’s had many, many compliments on her skin – surely what we’re all hoping for, with a skin regime.

Before we continue, though: be aware that this is right at the top-top-top end of products we’d feature, price-wise. But what we know about women is that they tend to shop within their budget – and budgets vary, even during a ‘cost of living crisis’.

We feel very fortunate to have been able to put these products through their paces, and are aware they’re going to be beyond most purses – but that’s exactly why we feature a Beauty Bible Weekend Steal each Friday: there are great products out there at high street prices, too, and our job is to signpost you to those which have impressed us, across the whole spectrum.

And what makes this collection somewhat more accessible – and very positive all round – is that products all have refills on offer, at (very) slightly lower prices.

So: here’s why we love it. (Deep breath, before you squint at the price-tags…)

Rose Diamond Exfoliating Cleanser (on its own, £50 for 50ml, and refill is £47 for 50ml). The brightening, exfoliating action here comes not from particles, but an enzyme complex that invisibly removes dull cells. It’s rich, gentle and delicately rose-scented, and a joy to massage into skin. This scooped a Beauty Bible Award 2021, in the Cream Cleanser category.

Rose Diamond Face Cream (on its own, £290 for 50ml – gulp – while refill is £280 for same size). We’re enjoying this while we can: a super-luscious, super-sensual, silky-textured rich cream that definitely has a skintone-evening effect, boosted by hibiscus and linseed polysaccharides, plus ceramides.

Rose Diamond Eye Cream/£90 for 15ml (refill £85). Jo testifies that this is the nicest eye cream she’s ever, ever used – again, super-silky, and although rich, can be used on lids without irritation as it doesn’t seem to ‘travel’ into the eye themselves, unlike so many.

All in all, the ‘kit’ offers a saving of £30 on the individual prices – and it does come in the most stunning, embroidered keepsake box which we’ve repurposed for storage.

All in all, super-luxurious and heavenly – and we’re savouring every dollop since this is probably the first and last time we’ll be able to enjoy this! And yes, we know how lucky we are.
