Fab Find of the Week: Oodee skincare

You’ll be hearing quite a bit about this brand from us, in the next couple of weeks – and quite rightly, because this is the very first skincare brand to screen out all fragrance and food allergens from their products (gluten, etc.). PLUS, as well as being allergen-neutral, it’s also cruelty-free and vegan.

It was sleuthed out by our friend Gill Sinclair at Victoria Health, who’s had more than her fair share of run-ins with allergens in products over the years.

The range also chimes with the new trend for ‘skinimalism’, whereby many are starting to assess our skincare regimes and pare down to the essentials. So: in the range you’ll find a capsule line-up, as follows…

Halo Foaming Cleanser/£24 for 150ml. With a luscious whipped-cream texture, featuring prickly pear extract, which is known for its soothing, hydration-locking action.

Aurora Perfecting Serum/£65 for 50ml. Just because it’s allergen-free, doesn’t mean it’s not ACTIVE… Find niacinamide and a new-to-us ingredient called shiso sprouts, to boost luminosity. It’s got a gorgeous texture – really easy to smooth over face and neck (down to the vest-line, please!), so a little goes a surprisingly long way.

Nova Illuminating Moisturiser/£55 for 50ml. Lashings of vitamin C in here, along with grapeseed/crambe/jojoba oils and (yes!) buckwheat sprouts, but what we love is the whipped-yet-rich texture and the instant comfort delivered.

So: watch out for more on sensitive skins – and a rather special opportunity - next week. Meanwhile? Your touchy skin will thank you for reading about this. Or – even better – a personal introduction.
