Fab Find of the Week: Olverum Pure Radiance Facial Oil

Suddenly, it’s facial oil season. Not that we don’t EVER use them during the summer months, but there’s something about switching the central heating on that makes our skin SCREAM for the extra nourishment that only an oil can offer.

Here’s a favourite, that we rediscovered at a recent press day for their PR, by Olverum – who’ve scooped many a Beauty Bible Award over the years (maybe decades) for their body products (notably their iconic bath oil).

So, they know their oils. Here, the vitamin-rich base oil – it features F, A, C and E – includes cacay oil, bakuchiol and rosehip oil. It’s much more subtly scented than their mood-shifting bath oils, with a subtle blend of geranium, lavender, clary sage and patchouli, but just gorgeous. Recently repackaged, it’s now available in a 30ml size.

The how-to? Olverum recommend three drops warmed in the palms of the hand; cup around your nose and then breathe deeply for a few grounding seconds, before massaging. (In a perfect world, with a gua sha tool.) Our experience is that skin feels instantly plumper, comfier and – well, ready for whatever wind and central heating are about to throw at it.

Remember neck and décolletage, too. Just because it’s vest season, that’s no reason to neglect what happens underneath our layers…
