Fab Find of the Week: Jane Scrivner Intense Conditioning Bodycare

Oh, happy day. Because Jane Scrivner – spa and skincare guru, old ‘Friend of Beauty Bible’ pretty much from the day we first started writing our books – has just launched some wonderful new body products. And they are pressing all our (reset) buttons.

This isn’t something Jane does every day: we happen to know she spends literally years perfecting formulas before releasing them into the wild. And we’re always happy to wait, because it’s worth it.

As Jane points out, we generally only apply skincare to 11% of our skin (just 5% if you’re not extending beyond your jaw-line), so her aim with the Intense Conditioning Bodycare collection is to help keep skin conditioned and cared-for, top to toe.

So, there are not one, not two but THREE delights…

Jane Scrivner Intense Conditioning Body Cleanser/from £38 for 150ml. No, Jane insists, this is NOT a shower gel, not a body wash... It’s actually a creamy gel-to-milk formulation packed with nourishing apricot, jojoba, pumpkin, starflower and camelina oil, replenishing skin as it cleanses to leave it moisturised, rather than tight and potentially itchy.

Jane Scrivner Perfecting Body Polish/£37 for 200ml. This has an incredible ‘whipped’ texture and a gorgeous, spicily aromatherapeutic scent. We were rather dubious before trying because it has pumice powder in (as well as softening salts), but the particles are absolutely micro-sized, meaning it’s actually very gentle, and again, leaves skin veiled in nourishment.

Jane Scrivner Intense Conditioning Body Moisturiser/from £38 for 150ml. This is a truly fabulous body milk, which smooths in instantly and without needing any elbow grease, lavishing skin with jojoba milk, hibiscus and wild plum, and with an aromatherapy blend of zingy grapefruit, juniper and cypress. We are well and truly hooked and going to be needing replacements SOON, as we prepare skin for the un-peeling of clothing layers.
