Fab Find of the Week: Morris At Home Dove & Rose collection

The artist and designer William Morris once declared: ‘Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.’

The new William Morris at Home Dove & Rose collection (produced in collaboration with the lovely folk at Heathcote & Ivory) certainly ticks at least one of those boxes, and in some case both: a beautiful line-up with William Morris At Home’s fab new ‘look’, taking some of Morris’s heritage designs and reworking the colours (TBH sometimes dull and sludge-y, in the original), and making them perfectly ‘now’.

We have MANY loves, within the collection – including the hand creams, which (coming from H&I) have the perfect, velvetifying texture. (Check out the White Amber & Iris Hand Cream set of six x 30ml, for £18, which would make THE most fantastic gift – more on which anon, in our forthcoming Beauty Bible Gift Guides 2021.)

But here, some of our other faves…

White Iris & Amber Scented Candle/£18 – how gorgeous is this, with its blue glass tumbler that can be upcycled as a desk tidy or posy vase; as a candle, when lit, it glows like a gem. But we wish you could SMELL this, with the beautiful, powdery scent of iris further softened by warm amber.

Velvet Lavender Eye Mask/£12 – a wonderful gift for friends who have trouble sleeping, it’s made of just the softest velvet, with soft, stretchy straps. We quite want a lovely nap just LOOKING at this!

White Amber Scented Drawer Liners/£10 for 5 sheets. Oh, we LOVE a drawer liner, to subtly scent our smalls and woollies – and if yours aren’t wafting the way they should, order some of these IMMEDIATELY, to infuse them with the collection’s White Iris & Amber scent. As they point out, the gorgeous, jewel-like sleeve can be re-used for stationery or photos. (We love the upcycling messaging that Heathcote & Ivory are suggesting, for their packaging.)

All in all, Mr. Morris, we believe these to be very beautiful indeed…
