Elemis Superfood 'Glow' newness

Oh, golly. These are gooooood. We have a hunch we’ll be returning to them time and again as the central heating goes on (and yes, we know that’s a heretical thought at the moment), because these are just brilliant for getting your glow on.

So: as above, not one but two new bits of fabulousness landed on our bathroom shelves from Elemis. The first is a cleansing butter – a whole new texture that’s appeared in our lives, and luscious beyond belief. (Imagine cleansing your face with butter. There. You’ve got it. Only: do not try THAT at home, children.)

Elemis’s bright orange Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter features AHA fruit acids, which have brightened our skin without any hint of irritation. (That was always the problem with these products, but is perhaps avoided because this is a wash-off.) Here, pumpkin and acerola, which are naturally rich in AHAs, dissolve dead surface cells brilliantly for instant post-cleansing radiance. We wouldn’t use this every night, perhaps, but have slotted it in twice-weekly for brightening. It can also be left on as a deep cleansing mask, for 10 minutes, before rinsing.

Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser is, as the name suggests, really glow-y. It needs something OVER it, but is perfect beneath a tinted moisturiser for now. And we think it and will again be a godsend in autumn, when we want skin that’s lit from within, yet doesn’t look summer-shimmery.

Featuring fermented superfoods – kombucha, green tea seed, ginger – alongside luminising minerals, it’s lightweight yet perfectly moisturising enough for our skins, without having to layer it over another moisturiser. Come central heating time, we might reassess and use this more as a primer than a moisturiser. (It can also be dabbed onto highpoints of the face, for a highlighter effect.)

But that isn’t all on the glow front, though! These arrived with Elemis Glow-Getters Duo, below – a steal of a kit (£49, offering £67.50 value), featuring full sizes two other brilliant skin-brightening products, Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil and Papaya Enzyme Peel (a longstanding favourite of ours). These are available in a limited edition, completely gorgeous, good-sized kit bag adorned with cute fruitiness in the form of an illustration by Gretchen Röehrs
