Fab Find of the Week: ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Tri-Acid Peel
There’s a simple reason for a dull complexion – dead skin cells clustering in a layer on the surface of the skin. One of the simplest ways to lift them away is to have a gentle peel. That used to be a salon treatment but with today’s sophisticated formulations, it’s pretty simple and effective to do this at home.

If the idea of a peel makes you feel a bit queasy, it did the same for us initially but truly, the results are worth getting over that hump and just trying it. When it comes to acids, Noella Gabriel, joint founder and President of ELEMIS, is adamant that they will only use the gentlest possible but at percentages that really make a difference. So Tri-Acid Peel offers a complex of lactobionic, Asiatic and mandelic acids to promote exfoliation and sweep off that top dusty layer. And this never leaves skin dry or taut, though it does feel immediately firmer and bouncier to the touch.
Highlights of independent clinical trials on 31 people over four weeks (about one skin cycle) showed that 93% agreed this peel dramatically reduced the appearance of their fine lines and wrinkles. And a convincing 100% said their skin looked more youthful and radiant.
Important to say that, of course, you always need to wear an SPF30 (or more) to protect your skin from UV rays (which can emanate, in small amounts, from some LED lighting as well as the sun… just saying).
