Fab Find of the Week: Christian Dior Le Baume
We have a glorious luxury to share with you today. And we put Christian Dior Le Baume through some unglamorous paces, before declaring it our Fab Find of the Week.
Having spent almost the entire final May Bank Holiday weekend gardening without gloves, Jo’s hands were in a terrible state. Rough, dry – sandpapery is the word that springs to mind.
However, a good scrub with a nail brush and one single slathering – yes, just one – with this cream managed to fix the softness issue. This velvety cream – don’t be deceived by the ‘Baume’ name – sinks straight in, but is mega-nourishing and smoothing. Honestly, a mini miracle-worker.
In fact, this new multi-tasking product from the fabled French skincare and fragrance promises to nourish not only hands, but lips and body - and this marvellously velvety cream does just that brilliantly. We were a bit cynical that it would work on lips as well, but it does – and a tiny dot’s all it takes. There’s absolutely no fragrance or taste – just does the job. (As for body? Well, yes. But you’d need to be feeling quite flush to use it from neck to toe.)
The design, meanwhile, is chic (of course!) and practical. The lid flips off, whereupon a squeeze of the round tube dispenses as much or as little as you want. (It’s very controllable – and at this price, that’s important.)
And into the handbag this goes, for on-the-go slathering – and envious glances – whenever repair is required. (Because Jo’s just not sure she’s ever going to remember to put those gloves on…)
