Fab Find of the Week: DoSe by VH skincare

So many ‘hoorahs’, here – so do bear with us.

Hoorah for this launch, which we feel we’ve lived, for the past two years, as our friend and guru, Gill Sinclair of Victoria Health, worked tirelessly to bring this range to market.

Hoorah for the pricing: we are sick to death of serums and even facial oils landing on our desk that cost up to 10 times this much – DoSe by VH’s incredibly comprehensive range starts at just £15 for 30ml, while the top-priced product is £26, for the hero Ergothioneine Serum, which is now front and centre on the bathroom shelf, and which Gill predicts will ‘become a legend in its own lifetime.’ Can’t really disagree, such is this powerful antioxidant ingredient’s impact on skin.

In terms of price, we could equally have included this range as a Beauty Bible Weekend Steal, but we couldn’t wait till this Friday to share the news of the range, which was unveiled on Saturday via Gill’s must-read weekly newsletter, which you can read here (and if you’re not already signed up to this weekly bulletin, do).

Hoorah for the ease of shopping: DoSe by VH is laid out by skin concern – here which makes navigating this wide range of treatment products a piece of cake. NB, while these are active treatment products, they’re all fragrance-free and formulated with sensitive skin in mind – which, we can tell you, is far from always the case. (As we know to our cost.)

So hoorah for our friend Gill, one-half of Victoria Health, with Shabir Daya, who has kept us upright for so many years with his painstakingly-researched supplement recommendations and who worked on these formulations to make sure they’re state-of-the-art.

We know what it takes to bring a range like this to market. Gill’s friendship and support, shooting the breeze over lunch and sharing our thoughts on industry developments (actually, just generally putting the world to rights, sometimes wearing tiaras, sometimes not), has been one of the great joys of the past years. We’d suggest a lie-down at this point, but she’s not exactly a lying-down sort of person.

To quote Gill’s upsum of the range: ‘DoSe is a considered wardrobe of serums and oils dedicated to skin health, offering a series of solutions designed and formulated for the longevity and integrity of skin, the largest organ of our bodies.’ You ‘build’ your wardrobe of treatment products, customising it to your skin’s needs – Dry & Dehydrated, Blemishes & Breakouts, Inflamed Skin, Dull Skin, Signs of Ageing, Uneven Skintone, . Because of Shabir’s knowledge, you will learn a lot about your particular skin condition simply by reading the paragraphs that introduce each collection.

Yup, she’s our friend. But leaving that aside, hand on heart, we’d be shouting from the rooftops about this collection.

Good news for skin. Good news for bank balances. And one last ‘hoorah’ – for common sense, frankly.
