Faace Masks

What  we need right now is to relax for a short pause with a face mask. What YOU need right now is to do the same, and we have some interesting new suggestions for you.

We're all used to targeted masks for dry/dull/combination/oily skin, but Faace masks have some 'prescriptions' that we've never seen in all our years: Tired, Sweaty and Period

These vegan masks do what they say on the tin. (Er, tube.) OK, hand on heart, we've personally only really tested the Tired option, which perks up skin with a jolt of caffeine and brightening vitamin C, exfoliates lightly with a touch of lactic acid and turbo charges moisture with vegetable glycerine and aloe vera. There's also frankincense, together with pomegranate and rosehip, both rich in vitamin A. And we are ALWAYS up for obeying a command to 'relax for 20 minutes', while a mask gets to work.

Our 'mask correspondents' were also impressed by the other two, designed for post-workout use and – as you might guess from the name – for use at 'the time of the month'.

What else we like: if you buy them from wearefaace.com (they are also online at Liberty), you'll get free hair clips with each order. (Honestly, we're amazed at friends who admit they slather without properly scraping all the hair off their face – do they not listen to us?) And the brand also makes donations which go towards tackling period poverty, from each mask sold, via heygirls.co.uk's Buy One, Give One initiative.

So: cast aside that hideously long Christmas 'To Do' list. Lie down on your bed. And do nothing for a whole 20 minutes, while this gets to work. You'll thank us, honestly.
