Estée Lauder Nutritious Pore Purifying Cleansing Jelly
Ambitiously, Estée Lauder are looking to revive facial soap as part of this Nutritious Micro-Algae collection. Sure it's infused with chlorella and crafted in Japan with a 10-step process that takes over 10 days to complete. And it's intriguingly black (or at least a very, very dark green).
But, but, but... Only boys like soap, in our experience, on the face!
However, the Estée Lauder Nutritious Pore Purifying Cleansing Jelly – from the same collection – is definitely destined for success. Because if you like a foaming cleanser, you're going to love, love, love this. It's a super-soft and somehow rather deliciously-textured gel which massages into the face and lathers to the silkiest of foams when you add water. We wouldn't use it around the eyes, but it's great for swishing away make-up, grime and the day itself. It leaves skin clean but not taut. Truly, this is a pleasure to use, delivering a fresh look and (they promise) leaves pores less congested after just a week. Got to be worth a shot, if pores are your beauty woe. (They aren't ours – so we can't truthfully report back on that.)
It also has a fantastic fresh scent – specifically created by a perfumer, so we're told, with a 'garden-fresh interpretation of leafy green vitality; a sparkling burst of green energy is harmoniously entwined with earthy hints of soft, sheer woods. Skin is delicately wrapped in a reminiscence of nature.'
That's a slightly flowery way of saying: this smells as fantastic as it feels on the skin.
