You’ll have noticed that when Beauty Bible writes about new ranges, we tend to cherry-pick our faves. But when four new Elemis additions to their Superfood Skincare line-up landed at Beauty Bible HQ, we found ourselves universally impressed by the products, which combine nutrient-rich ingredients like supergrains, superfruits and supergreens.

The only one we might not use on a regular basis is the Superfood Berry Boost Mask, but only because it’s a mattifying product best suited to shiny, oily skins. And while we have beauty woes, that doesn’t feature on the list. But in a nutshell, here’s what we like about each of them.

Superfood Kefir-Tea Mist Enough to convert us to facial sprays, this. It’s powered by coconut water, organic rooibos tea extract and soy-derived kefir ferment: a spritz-on soothing toner which smells like a very, very expensive spa in the Far East somewhere. Pure Zen, in mist form – great for mentally preparing us for the day, or winding down at the end of it, never mind leaving skin feeling and looking fresher.

Superfood Blackcurrant Jelly Exfoliator Oh, such a fun, jelly-like texture, which – when massaged into skin – transforms into a smoothie-like liquid that really brightens the complexion. Black tea extract and softening glycerine feature, along with bilberry extract. (And a great not-fake-smelling-at-all berry scent.)

Superfood Vital Veggie Mask Just what our winter-weary skins needed, frankly, with its ‘shot of green goodness’. Gentle skin-revitalising AHAs, chia seed oils and chlorophyll-rich wheatgrass extract leave skin glow-y and nourished-feeling. A new regular go-to mask, for us.

Superfood Berry Boost Mask As we said, this doesn’t really suit our skintypes – but we enjoyed it's almost good-enough-to-eat , berry-licious scent (and mooshed berry colour!), and have passed it on to a happy and grateful younger friend who’s thoroughly enjoying how it mattifies her skin while avoiding that uncomfy tightness associated with some similar types of mask.

So well done, Elemis, on this quartet. (Anyone know what one up from a hat-trick is…?)
