Colorescience Tint du Soleil Whipped Foundation

This is a fab ‘transitional’ product as we segue from summer to autumn. It calls itself a foundation, but is more akin to a tinted moisturiser, we’re finding.

In fact, Colorescience Tint du Soleil Whipped Foundation offers the perfect, light coverage that post-summer skin can almost certainly get away with, after such a great summer – just enough to even out skintone, without looking heavy. (A little later in the season, in the right shade, we think it’d also make a great ‘weekend’ foundation. There are four quite skin-adaptable shades, including an admirably dark Deep.)

The texture’s as airy and whipped as the name suggests, but nicely creamy, too (and the product’s dispensed by a pump in the top of the tube, which makes it mess-free).

If you do like to wear foundation on the beach (we don’t bother), there’s an SPF30 – and it only needs reapplying, so Colorescience say, after 40 minutes of swimming, or after towel-drying – or after two hours. (So if that sounds like you, put this on next summer’s shopping list.)

Meanwhile? It’s helping us to hang onto the last of this summer, in a very skin-flattering way.
