Color Wow Dream Coat for Curly Hair

First, there was Color Wow Dream Coat, the hair spritz that seals, straightens and de-frizzes, thanks to three specific polymers that are heat- and tension-activated, ensuring Dream Coat works when sprayed on liberally before blow-drying.

Abracadabra! Hair becomes sleek, shiny and frizz-proof. – and, we are delighted to report, it makes a blow-dry look good for days and days; truly a bit amazing. (Plus the conditioning effects can last for up to three washes, we’re told.)

And now, ta-dah! Fanfare of hairdriers! Because here comes Dream Coat for Curly Hair. This features three very different polymers, which combine to create curls that are defined, soft and shiny. One difference is that you don't need heat to activate this product – although you can use a hairdrier with a diffuser (or air-dry your hair).

Curls need moisture, so Dream Coat for Curly Hair intentionally isn’t humidity-proof. Best of all, if you want to use it without the faff of shampooing, all you do is dampen your curls and zhoosh them up to refresh the curl. That works well on waves too, we found – giving a positively Rita Hayworth look to Sarah’s medium to long thick hair. (But again, don't stint on product – and remember to spray underneath each section as well as on top.)

Both formulations are water-based and featherlight so they don't weigh down hair or create dulling build up. We have friends and colleagues who swear by Dream Coat, lugging the shiny bottle wherever they go, and others who, well, don't get on so well with it. But we’re reliably informed that the most likely reason for that is not using enough product.

So be lavish and just drench those tresses in whichever version of Dream Coat suits your hair.
