Today, beauty's all about customisation. But at the same time, Korean beauty trends notwithstanding (with their 37 or so steps), we're all looking for ways to simplify our regimes. And although not (quite) the first of its kind, this little bottle of pigment is super-easy to use, hypoallergenic (being Clinique) – and again, being Clinique, comes in a good range  of 12 shades plus one limited edition Bronze shade that will really come into its own as summer rolls in.

The drops work like this: first, take your favourite moisturiser and add a small amount ('around the size of a small pearl', Clinique recommend) to the palm of your hand. Shake the little bottle of pigment and gently pinch it, dropping the pigment onto the moisturiser.

One drop gives sheer coverage (akin to a tinted moisturiser), two drops give medium coverage and three drops offers fuller coverage. You then blend with your fingers and apply to your face – and we recommend experimenting till you get the depth of cover desired.

A brilliant space-saver for holidays – and a great discovery for anyone who finds foundation a bit of a faff, but needs a l-i-t-t-l-e help on the skin perfection front.
